Ideally this site will become a hub for information on Minnesota archaeology for both professional and avocational archaeologists and the interested public.  The site will provide listings of planned, current and recent archaeological related events across the state and notes on interesting sites to visit.  Recent research and discoveries will also be summarized.  The goal is to foster archaeological awareness and ultimately to promote better communication amongst professionals and non professionals alike.

This site is not directly affiliated with an agency, institution or firm.  At this point the site has a single author with several years of archaeological experience in the state and an interest in public archaeology.

Suggestions for topics and information about upcoming events would be appreciated.  A couple of paragraphs about your current projects or research will be considered for publication.
