Statewide Survey posts RFP for Inventorying Unrecorded Historic Period Indian Cemeteries

The State Register for November 8th, 2021 (Volume 46, Number 19) included a request for proposals for a study documenting historic period Indian Cemeteries in Minnesota.   https://mn.gov/admin/assets/SR46_19%20-%20Accessible_tcm36-507779.pdf   I’ve copied it pretty much verbatim below.

The Minnesota Historical Society (Society) and the Oversight Board of the Statewide Historical and Archaeological Survey (Board) seek a qualified consultant to conduct an intensive records search to compile a preliminary database of unrecorded historic period Indian cemeteries and burials in Minnesota. The purposes of the project are to summarize what is known about unrecorded historic period Indian cemeteries, to add new information about unrecorded historic period Indian cemeteries to an existing cemeteries database, and to develop a research design for a field survey to find currently uninventoried unrecorded Indian historic period cemeteries. The project cost may not exceed $75,000.  The Request for Proposal is available by contacting Mary Green Toussaint, Contract Manager, Minnesota Historical Society, by e-mail only: mary.green-toussaint@mnhs.org
There will not be a public bid opening due to COVID restrictions. All bids must be received by Mary Green Toussaint, Contract Manager, by email only at mary.green-toussaint@mnhs.org no later than 2:00 p.m. Local Time
Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Late proposals will not be considered.
